With reference to the letter from this office dated 23rd May 1876 580534 HongKong & on the subject of lands at Victoria, Hong Kong; I am directed to acquaint you for the information of the Earl of Carnarvon that another report has been received from the General Officer Commanding pointing out that the road as it is now being carried out by the Colonial authorities will run in dangerous proximity to the magazine, especially
its eastern side.
