We know, brenuse we watch them doing it on buses and in trains.
And we collect their comments.
Men are fashion conscious .... about OUR clothes.
If they bothered more about the way they look to us, this page would never have been written,
We're saying what we think about them this time. We've been wanting to for years.
They think we don't mind their concertina trousers and their dirty inackintosh. We love them in spite of that revolting hat. Their persona-. ily takes our minds off their mud- coloured shirt ant twistet tie.
They're wrong
and wrong .. and wrong again.
We know how we'd like them to look, so this week we've spent most of our ilme finding out about men's fashions.
We're putting down--in very simple language the things they ought to know about their clothes, but very
seldom do.

We saw one in navy with

What we should like to see
a man wearing at week-ends is a two-piece hop-sar suit. The jacket is check lined and the trousers specially cut to wear without waistcoat.
The trousers, we noticed, had the new flexway inner belt, and that means shirts needn't blouse quile Russianly as they do now.
Look at the sketch of the man in our favourite week- end ontat Dark green Jacket with a big, but not brielt, over-check,
It has even one more poc. kel than usual.
We'd like this worn with worsted flannel trousers in the right shade of grey- green.

A busky shirt in checks or turtle-necked jersey will
make any girl—or wife- quite pleased to be seen out with her man on Saturday afternoon.

Fancy waistcoats are "in" pain. Men ought to take advantage of that.

There is no excura for any man to wear a dull tie or shirt.
Wives who buy ties should noto that even very complacent men hate les patterned with any form of animal life, pink fles, and ties that have gadgets Inaldo to keep them flat, or make them last longer. •
They like woven woollen ties, stripes, and favour a corded surface

Crimson, patterned with the dark colour of their sult, is a best seller in ties.

We do like men who keep their clothes clean.
We've seen too many pretty dresses ruined by contact with dirty jackets. Twice round the ballroom, and we And there is a sooty-looking mark round the waist of our best chiffon. The dirt may not show to THEM, but it comes off on 15,
Train your man to be his own valet. Buy ilm a couple of whisks and make him keep one at home and one at the office. He'll get the Beau Brummell habit if he presses his trousers once a week.

Boys who brush their 'sults, uso hangers and, fold their ties, have learned 50 per cent. of the lesson on "how to be a successful husband.” We are all against sisters running after their brothers with fresh collars and clean shoes,
We like nice dressing-gowns and pyjamas. We take a lot of trouble about our own, and get no fun out of seeing men slink down to let the cal out in their old overcoat.
We are showing just how handsome they can took in an attractive dress- ing gown-checked and all wool.
