WASHINGTON, Dec. 22. THE China Information Ser-
vice, which is an unofficial American organization, made a statement to-day that China's greatest danger at presént is an. appeal by Occidental friends that she accept a peace which Japan desires.
It cald that only one thing could now defent China and that is. "persistent persuasion of Western governnienta, notably Great Britain and the United States."
After Hankow, China can lose little which Japan would be sure lot attempt to take. Contrarily, Japan, will welcomic peace because she is embroiled
