Defendant States Story
Complete Fabrication
Charged with obtaining $19,000 from a widow by a confidence trick, Li Hei-ting, master of the Yu Hai Leung Import and Export Firm, Connaught Road Central, appeared at the Criminal Sessions, yesterday.

An objection to the Chinese mem- bers of the Jury by defendant was disallowed by Sir Atholl. The reason given was that they may have been known to the complainant.
