Callous treatment of a wife was commented on by Mr. Justice Hodson in the Divorce Court recently when he dismissed the husband's petition, and, on a cross-prayer, granted the woman a decree nisi.
Petitioner was Captain John Martin Hanchard Goodwin, giving an auldress at Brae Court, Kingston Hill (Surrey), and the respondent wife was Mrs. Audrey Craven Goodwin, late of Lamb Terrace, Leamington.
Captain Goodwin alleged adultery by his wife with a chauffeur named Leonard Thomas, described as a married man with four children.
Mrs. Goodwin charged her husband with adultery.
Captain and Mrs. Goodwn were married at Highgate, N., In 1921, and afterwards lived of Studley Manor, Warwickshire, and other dresses, The last being Brae Court. are two children.
