Stan Laurel, one-time partner of Oliver Hardy, has drawn up a five-points defence in answer to the charge, on which he was arrested recently, of driving a car while drunk.
The much-married, mournful English' film comedian was de- tained by a policeman, who said he found him nude to the waist! and bleeding badly.
Stan told the policeman that he had just had a "terrible! battle" with his wife. Now he has prepared the following de-j fence:
