He is Fraser Coron, 81. Back in 1884 five men organised the first golf club in America, on the estate of Russell W. Montague, at White Sulphur Springs. Their sticks, Imported from Scotland, were imponaded by So Mr. Coron, a cabinet maker. set to customs officials, who did not know how to classify them. and made 15 clubs with apple-wood heads and hickory handles-first in the United States Top.
