HARD ON ROAD HOGS
Berlin.
German police are now em- powered to punish an offending motorist by ordering him out of his car and making him let the air out of his tyres.
When the driver has listened to a lecture he may pump up the tyres and proceed, a wiser and wearler man.
This is an order of General Daluere, chief of polier, who estimates that 35 per cent of Recidents in Germany are caused by motorists, and only 8 per cent. by pedestrians.
Last year 8,000 people were killed and 175,000 Injured.
