Beats W. C. Hung In The Final

A.E.P. Guest, who recently enjoyed of beating Teddy the distinction

of the Fincher in the semi-final K.C.C. singles championship, won this event for the first time in his career during this week, when he defeated W. C. Hung in the final in three straight sets of 9-7, 6-3, 7-5.

Guest played grand, steady tennis, coming up from behind in both the opening and the third sets. His splendid all-court game, which kept Hung pegged to the baseline for the most part, was the chief contribution to an outstanding achievement.

Hlung led three-love in the first set,' but Guest piled on pressure and broke through to take it at 9-7. He was second set, always ahead in the forcing Hung into countless errors, but the loser made a strong bid to recover in the third set, taking a 5-1 lead. Then Guest pulled out his best game, levelled at five-all, and finally broke through to win set and match at 7-5,
