AIR MAIL ARRIVES

Delia Had Narrow Escape At Udorn

The Imperial Airways plane Della which reached Hongkong with the air mail at 3 p.m. yesterday, was three days Inte, mainly owing to main route from

delaya on the London to Bangkak.

The plane, which had been delayed at Udorn by a tyre blow-out on Monday, renched Vientiane at night, and left yesterday morning for Hongkong.

Captain Collins sold the tyre burst as the plane was taxi-ing across the field for the take-off. Fortunately the plane was not travelling at any great speed, or else a more serious accident might have occurred. The plane was held up five hours while repairs were put in hand.

Delphinus Taken On The Delphinus left Hongkong at 7.m. yesterday with the outward mail and three passengers, Mr. Barnes, for Calcutta, Mr. K. C. Chen for Rangoon, and Mr. Powant, on a staff visit to Calcutta.

Anollier Mall To-day

The Delphinus is expected to reach Kal Tak at 5 p.m. to-day with the Inward mid-week malls.
