With reference to my Letter of the 24 ultims,

I am directed by the Earl of Derby to state to you, for the information of the Earl of Carnarvon, that a Telegram has been received from Her Majesty's Charge d'Affairer at Liebon, reporting that the King of Portugal has approved the Contract concluded last July between the Hong Kong and Shenghae Bank and the Governor of Macao.
