N IMPORTANT declaration on the existing partition of freund was made by Mr. Eamon De Valera in Dublin to-day in the course of an interview with a correspondent of the London Evening Standard.
Mr. De Valera zaid he had aban stoned any idea of a plebiscite which, though giving Eire more territory, would perpetuate the partition, and be urged Britain to persuade the six Ulster countries to join in an all- Irland Parliament.
Mr. De Valera offered Ulster auto- nomy in locul affairs, asking only for the Nationalist guarantees minority in her area.
While partition remained, Mr. De Valera warned England, her chances of Elre's co-operation with Britain in he event of a European war were "very slight"
