Berkeley, California, Oct. 10. In the semi-finals of the Men's Singles tennis championship of the Pacific Coast played to-day, Harry Hopman beat Smith 6-4, 2-0, 0-3.
In the other semi-final, Jack Tidball caused an upset by beuling Bobby Riggo, (-4, 2-0, 6-3, to quality to meet Hopman in the final.
