EIGHT EVENTS ARRANGED FOR PROGRAMME

The Eighth Extra Race Meeting, better known regular followers of the turf as the "Double Tenth Meeting," is a two-day affair with eight attractive events on the programme for each day. To-morrow the October Handicap, confined to Chine panies over the champion course, is the main event while on Mon- day the Double Tenth Plate for the same class, from the 11⁄2 mile post (about half mile 170 yards) will be the major contest. The first saddling bell on each day will be rung at 1.30 p.m. sharp.

I suppose one can assume that the absence of Liberty Bay and Diana Bay from the two principal events means that they have seen their best days and that they are now on the retired list. Neither Liberty Boy nor Diana Bay requires any fresh comment. In the case of the former, I think it will be dificult to find a pony with a better record in the an- nals of Hongkong racing.
