SEVENTY PER CENT of the Chinese flect, including the Yangtze River Squadron under the command of Admiral Tseng I-ting, has been destroyed by Japanese naval and air forces since the outbreak of the hostilities, according to information received here to-day,
A number of small vessels mostly belonging to the Second Squadron, are stationed in Hwangahibkang, Hankow and Yochow on Poyang Lake. These aro gunboats of 800 to 1,000 tons. Those still available to the Chinese for actual operations are the Chuyu, Chungshan and Yatsen.
