NEVILLE CHAMBERLAIN'S popularity with the mass of people has reached unprecedented heights. Nevertheless, there is a not inconsiderable section of the people and also of politicians who are bitter at the terms of the Munich Agreement.

They cannot see that the Agreement arranged by the Four Powers differs materially from the demands made by Herr Hitler at Godesberg, which,two days, before Munich, Mr. Chamberlain announced were totally unacceptable to France and Great Britain.
Lobbies are discussing the possibility of a snap election next month. Some circles believe that Mr. Chamberlain could choose no better time for going to the country, in view of his great prestige to-day.
