One of the most impressive funeral processions held in Shanghai for many years took place recently when the coffin of the late Buperintendent Loh Lich-kwel, of the Shanghai Munfelpal Police, who was murder- ed, was taken from the parlours of the International Funeral Directors, where it was enconfinned at the Pingklang Guild to lie there pending funeral arrangements. Top picture shows the corlega snoving through the streets surrounded by mourners. Middle plcture shows the Commissioner of Police, Major K. M. Bourne, marching in the procession with Deputy Commissioners 8. C. Young and Captain H. M. Smythe. Bellam peture gives an idea of the enormous crowds which lined the route to pay homage.
