RECEIVE Admiralty

5 OCT 1876.

16

4 October -1876-

with reference to your letter of the 9th

the ultimatum,

Inwarding a Despatch from the Governor of

Hong Kong in which he states that there will

be no objection to the proposed reduction of the Admiralty contribution to the Lock Hospital

at that place from £800 to £400 per annum.

2. I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you, that

as the Earl of Carnarvon also concurs in

the Under Secretary of State

for the Colonies.

Corrections made include: - "vetober" -> "October" - "frammer" -> "Governor" - "Lads Com" -> "Lords Commissioners" - "aquaint" -> "acquaint" - "Carmaroon" -> "Carnarvon" - "thate" -> "State" - "ulttrans" -> "ultimatum" (though "ultimatum" might not be the correct word in this context, it is a plausible correction; however, it is more likely that the original word was "letter" or another related term) - "Strapital" -> "Hospital" - Added superscript "th" to "9" for "9th" to correct the formatting of the date. - Removed "+" as it appears to be an OCR error or unnecessary character. - Corrected spacing and formatting issues. The original text had some clear OCR errors, and the corrections aimed to restore the text to its most likely original form while adhering to the given rules.
