Hospital Success With X-Ray Methods
"Dramatic advances" in cancer treatment were claimed by Mr. Cecil Rowntree, senior surgeon, at the an- nual meeting of the Royal Cancer Hospital, Fulham-road, S.W., recently.
He said that owing to the generosity of Mr. Chester Beatty, the vice-president, they had the latest and most efficient apparatus possible, and during the past 12 months had consolidated somewhat tentative conclusions towards which they had been gradually feeling their way as to the best methods of treating different kinds of cancer.
