Report on the Deportation and Conditional Pardons Consolidation Ordinance No. 8 of 1876.
The law on deportation and conditional pardons was scattered through eight Ordinances, and this Ordinance collects it into one enactment, thus preventing much trouble and confusion.
Ordinance 9 of 1857, for the better securing the peace of the Colony, had become so mutilated from subsequent legislation, that only two useful sections remained in force. They are preserved here, and that Ordinance is repealed.
