According to an authoritative report, a mixed train which left Canton for Hongkong at 2 o'clock this morning was bombed at Shek Lung, and the engine and some of the trucks destroyed as the result of a direct hit. The track is also reported to be badly damaged, but no lives were lost as far as can be ascertained.
Railway officials could not confirm this report, but it was admitted that the train, due in
