London, May 20. Playing in the sixth match of their present tour, the Australian cricketers defeated Northampton- shire by an innings and 77 runs. This was the fifth occasion in which the tourists have won by an inninga.

Lancashire bent Middlesex At Lord's by 113 runs in the County. Championship, while Yorkshire had the better of Essex by 127 runs and Worcestershire beat Hampshire by 193 rus at Basingtoke.

Both Oxford and Cambridge played drawn matches.

The Australlon cricket tourists won another match by an innings to-day when they defeated Northampton- Isaure by an innings and 77 runs.
