ISLAND CASE ADJOURNED Charged with driving without due care and caution along South Bay Roud, near Island Rond on May 30, Mr. J. Montalto appeated before Mr. H. R. Butters at the Central Magis tracy this morning.
Acting Sub-Inspector Baker mald the complainant wns Worder J. Joyce of Stanley Prison, and on the day in question he was driving from Repulse Bay towards Stanley when the defendant shot out from South Bay Hond, forcing him to swerve and run up the side of a hill.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge, the hearing being adjourned until June 3, at 2.30 pm.
Scoutmaster Passes Away
Mr. Michael George Lenz, of the Post Office staff, died yesterday at Queen Mary Hospital after a brief illness.
An old boy of St. Joseph's College, he had long been associated with the Boy Scout Movement and WDS Scoutmaster of the Hongkong (St. Joseph's) Troop.
He is survived by his widow and son, his mother and brother.
The funeral will monument at 5.30 p.m. to-day.
