An interesting economic analysis at the present meeting of the Administrative Council of the Bank of International Settlements, made to-day by the Vice President, Dr. J. W. Beyen (famous Dutch financlnl xpert), examines the reasons for the economie and business revival in the first half of 1937 and the reces- slon in the second half of the same year.
Dr. Beyen's analysis compares the crisis of 1920-32 with present world conditions, and expresses the vlow that to-day there is much more hope of a quick recovery.
