"A Brigado of Shantung troops under the command of General Wu Hun-wen, which reached the outskirts of Tainan on April 8 has been withdrawn to Changching," says an official re- port received here. The report explains that the withdrawal is for the purpose of forming a junction with the Chinese at Fei- chen which was occupied on April 4 by the Division under the command of General Chan Shu-tang--Renter.
