The Air Ministry announces that although the number of pilots re- quired by the Royal Air Force dur ing the present year, which ends on March 31, reached the record figure of 1,750, the whole of that number had been obtained by the end of January.

Of the total, upproximately 1,300 had been accepted from candidates from Civil Life, and the balance, in nccordance with normal policy are selected volunteers from serving airmen in the Royal Air Force.
