The annual Ball of the Society of St. George, one of the big social events of the year, was held at the Peninsula Hotel last night, when ILE. the Governor, Sir Geosfry Northcote, was the chief guest

Beefeaters and roses combined with the decorations to lend a typical English air to the occasion, and over 400 members of the Society and their guests attended to dance to traditional tunes, the Governor being one of the set for Sir Roger de Coverley.
