I have had under consideration your despatch of the 13th September transmitting an application from the Surveyor General for an increase of salary.
I am glad to learn the high opinion in which you regard Mr. Price's conduct in his present office, and am prepared to approve your submitting to the Legislative Council a vote giving him some increase of salary from the 12th Jan 1877.
