Colony Next Month
BRINGING A TROUPE OF TENNIS PROFESSIONALS
(By "Abo")
Hongkong tennis enthusiasts will no doubt be delighted to learn that a treat will be in store for them next month when William ("Big Bill") Tilden brings a troupe of professional tennis players to the Colony for a series of exhibition matches. Besides Tilden himself, the party consists of Henri Cochet and Ramillion, of France, and Burke of Ireland, the most formidable array of pro- fessional talent yet to visit this city.
No definite arrangements have yet 'been made by the Hongkong Lawn for the visit. Tennis Association When it was known several months ago thut Tilden was going to include the Philippines during his world tour, the local body wrote to him and ascertained that he would bring his troupe to Hengkap after visiting Manila.

Commencing play with only nine players, the school- boys attacked with Gill, Teloit Singh and Mendonca struggling hard to oblain the lead, but the University defence, with Teoh, Chin, and, Tsui, proved too much for them.
After 15 minutes play, Ling got through with ease to find the net. Tan, on the right wing, added the Brond, Smith in goal making a poor clearance.
When sides were changed, the University were still two goals in the lead and though they went further ahead when Ling found the net again a handful of energy. FANLING HUNT RACES
JANUARY MEETING TO BE HELD ON SUNDAY
(By "Captain Foster")
Very satisfactory entries have been received for the January Meeting of the Fanling Hunt and Race Club to be held at Kwanti on Sunday when a programme of six interesting events will be contested.

have not won $500 or more, and the rece is to be ridden by novices, This will, I um' sure, nttract a good crowd and I understand that all the ponies entered from the Valley are making the trip.
Attention of owners is directed by the fact that starters must be de- clared on the forms provided in the Weighing

The San Wai Steeplechase over 14 miles has attracted eight entries including the old jumper, Pride of been allotted Tsingtao, who has
wonder some lead to think of. I whether this old timer has the legs to shoulder 163 lbs. Diogenes has been given top weight and he has to concede: 15 lbs. (o Widnes, who won the Ambulance Cup at the last meet. The latter is my fancy.
