Government Has Forgotten
The Black Areas
Margate, Oct. 16. Thousands of British lads-van boys, errand boys, lift boys and pages are working between 60 and 90 hours a week.
In London alone 5,000 page boys aged 14 and 15 are working 72 hours a week.

These scandalous conditions dured by an important section of Forgotten Britain came back to memory to-day when the Women's Liberal Federation resumed its annual conference.
"It is terrible to think of," said Miss Jean Henderson, prospective Liberal candidate for St. Albans.

LEGISLATION
"In March Home Once depart inental committee recommended statutory limitation of these hours to 48 a week, but since then nothing has been done.
"The time has come for us to urge the necessity of immediate legislation on the Home Secretary." Miss Henderson was moving a resolution calling on the Government to implement the departmental com- nittee's report with the important amendment that young people under the age of 10 should not be compelled to work more than 40 hours a week and should certainly not be subjected to overtime.
The resolution was unanimously carried.

"That plain fael remains that thou- sands of people are losing the habit of work, and until we start a fresh agitation the Government will refuse to do anything about it.
"Belonging as I do to a family of almost professional agitators, don't mind asking you to agitate and collate and agitate again until the Rip Van Winkles of Downing Street wake up."

This is what she wrote about it:- "Allow me to send you a few words to tell you that Kruschen Salte has done wonders for me. My backacho has gone, and what is more, Krus- chen is slimming me down in a way that I would never believe if it wasn't for the fact that the reales show 18 pounds less in six months. This is catirely due to Kruschen Salts, and I shall never be without them."- J.F.
The condition which caused this woman to put on weight was also the cause of her backache, The whole trouble was due to the internal organs failing to expel from the body, regularly and completely, the waste products of digestion. The combina- tion of mineral soils in Kruschen arsiats the internal organs to perform their functions properly. Then, little by little, that ugly fat goes-slowly, yes-but surely.
