Translation of Chinese document obtained from the Tsang Isai Tony at Macao -

Tariff for levying of duties on import and export goods finally agreed upon with the Má Lan Custom Station once in accordance with new regulations - the old and new tariffs. Persons wishing to make transit shipment of duty-paid goods from Macao to the different ports in prefecture will have to apply to the Tsang Isai Tony agency for permits for such purposes on payment of 5 lees or 5 cash for each pecul of cargo. On arrival at the Má Lan Chan Customs Station these goods will be examined and on payment of a further sum of 1 mace (in exchange) on each pecul, shippers will receive transit passes. On payment of a fee of 1 mace, and on the arrival at the different ports of destination, the usual cancellation fee (Sui ho) will be paid. By the above-mentioned words, it is clarified that duties are levied.
