Wireless Dismantled: Chinese Crew Panic

OFFICIAL INQUIRY. TO BE HELD

A MIDNIGHT explosion in the No. 2 hold, which

Captain McVee was disinclined to discuss the loss of his ship, which, after it had become a blazing inferno with 27,000 cases of aviation gasoline on board, sank on Sunday evening about 150 miles from Hongkong. He said that an official inquiry would be held later, and he was not at liber-
