WELL-PLANNED RAID
TAIKOO SUGAR REFINERY ROBBED OF METAL
A carefully thought-out plan to rob the Taikoo Sugar Refinery, of which the ringleader was a former employee and well familiar with the place, was related by Inspector A. Wright at the Central Magistracy on Salurday when Lam Kau, 28, coolle, and Chan Yuu, 23, another coolle, appeared before Mr. W. Schoßeld.
The charges against the men were (n) Factory-breaking: to wit engine shop at Talkoo Sugar Re- finery, and stealing 45 callies of brasa valued at about $22, the property of Barkeley Engineers on August 4; (b) factory-breaking, to wit the store- house at Taikoo Sugar Refinery, and stealing two blocks of tin and 12 sticks of solder valued at $120, on August 0.
