SHEK-O MISHAP

A collision that resulted in con- siderable damage to a enr belonging to Lt. Col. Haycroft on the Shek-O Road on July 19 brought Lom Fat, driver of private motor car No. 2009 before Mr. W. Schofield at the Cen- tral Magistracy this morning, on a summons for failing to keep close to the left side of the rond.

LI-Col. Haycroft said that about 7.45 am, on July 19, he was driving his Austin 10 car towards Shek-O, and about one mile from Windy Gap, he saw defendant, driving car No. left hand 2009, corning around corner to him on the wrong side of the road. Defendant was more than half-way across complainant's side of the rond, and head-on collision inevitable. Defendant. appeared however, managed to get his car a little across to his own side of the road, before they collided.
