The Totalisator created a new high record last year, when the aggregate pools reached £7,367,925-an in- crease over 1935 of E1,218,. 672, despite the abandonment or cancellation of racing on G days.
This is disclosed in the an- nual report of the Racecourse Betting Control Board.
Revenue at £668,896 was an increase of £104,680, and the Board made grants totalling £118,814, including £107,964 for improvements to the sport. Of this sum £39,976-was for additional prize money.
