I have considered the amount of the salary which it would be reasonable to attach to this post, and I think that, considering the nature of the duties to be performed, it should be fixed at 60 Dollars with allowance. I do not, however, propose to give full salary immediately, but a preliminary salary of 50 Dollars with increase to sixty.
