TWO-NIL
Eastern Athletic, the Hongkong football team now playing a pro- gramme of matches in Manila, gave their best display of the tour to date last week when they defeated La Salle, powerful Manlin side by two clear goals.
The Manilo Bulletin says that spectators saw an enlightened display of football by the Hongkong players, the standard of play being of the highest.

Arst half was keenly contested and finished with a blank score sheet. LA Salle attacked vigorously after the interval and only the stubborn
work
of the Athlete defence kept them from scoring. Later the visitors took up the running, and when awarded a penalty, opened the scor- ing through Cheng Shui-hong, the former Colony Interport winger. Later Tau Ching-lo made things safe for Eastern by obtaining another gont.'

MIXED DOUBLES DIVISION IS DOUBTFUL
(By "Veritas")
Forty-three teams have been entered in the 1937 tennis league, as compared with 44 last year. This loss is caused through the withdrawal of Club de Recreio from the Mixed Doubles league, land of the LR.C. from the B Divi- Jaion, but CI.T.C. have put în an ladditional team.
There appears to be but slender hope of a mixed doubles league be
ing continued this summer, as the Chinese Recreation Club although entrants, are reported to be having difficulty in Anding a team.
A meeting of the executive com- mittee will be held on Thursday to and to con- constllute the divisions

There was some feeling between members of the teams early in the game and this became mere marked towards the end...
An official of the Brentford club, interviewed, said that when Hopkins, their right winger, left the field, ho received a blow on the nose. He was examined by a doctor who found that no bones had been broken.
The incident was immediately re- ported to the referee, who saw Hopkins with his face in a bad state
