On the receipt of your Telegram 5th April 1876 318 I communicated to the Government. "The suggestions therein contained are that the road should be carried at a height above the Magazine to this communication the Governor has not thought fit to reply."
2. The latter part of the foregoing paragraph is, I presume, intended to convey some sort of discretion.
3. An imputation, on my part, I should not deem it necessary to defend myself from foreign charge general principle involved otherwise unimportant matter which it may be.
