CHOREARTIUM BALLET SUCCESS

There is always an appeat'in dun- cing displays, and Inst night's "Chorcartium Ballet" by the pupils of George Goncharoff in the King's Theatre saw a packed house which gaven hearty reception to the

many entertaining items. Alsout 80 puplic took part in the display and it says much for the organising that the big programme was run off smoothly and with little waste of time, despite the many tema and changes of

scenery.

The mounting of the display was excellent particularly for the opening number, the "Toy Shop Ballet," and the applause which followed the rising of the curtain was richly de- served. This number was unt of the best received, bringing many of the pupils into prominence for a few monents while they executed their set steps. Coralie Wolfe, most attractive Mickey Mouse, made many favourites, as did Laureen Clemo, Joan Thomson, Anne Jet- fries and Pat Dawson, In' small dances. Stella Best brought the tem to a close with a difficult golliwog dance.

Stella Best Frominent

Stella Best was the star of the pro framme, for In addition to this number she partnered Mr. Gon- charoff in the Anale and showed her versatility in a difficult snake dance which

earned the plaudits of the big attendance.

Mr. Goncharoff also appeared in a dance to the "Nutcracker Suito," partnered by Mutal Fielder, who was also featured in the final number, the "Choreartium."
