Trading was tempered with caution, but was en- couraged by higher steel back-lora retail auto and financing Agures. On und Improved electricity, car-loading, the other hand, the market is worried by strikes, the more than scusonal decline in January rural retail sales, considerable proši-taking and the uncertainty of the foreign situation.

THREE-MASTED alling ship has been built in a Clyde ship-yard- but it was not launched.
It was sent in pieces, packed in boxes, by cargo boat to British Guiana,
