First—THE NAME of the Company is "The China Traders' Insurance Company, Limited."
Second—THE REGISTERED OFFICE of the Company will be situated in Victoria.
Third.—THE OBJECTS for which the Company is established are: The Insurance of Ships and Vessels and Goods, Treasure and Merchandise in and on board of Ships, Vessels and Boats (whether Steam or Sailing Vessels or Hulks, or Receiving or other Stationary Vessels) in Port, in or on Rivers, at Sea, or going to Sea, and of Freights or advances, and the pursuit of the business of Marine Insurers and Underwriters generally at Hongkong aforesaid, and at such other ports and places in China, Japan, India, Java, Manila and elsewhere generally, Great Britain and the United States of America as the Company may from time to time determine.
