A mending room, Coal store and W. C. complete the washing Establishment. To the East of this block having a separate entrance through its own yard is the mortuary and post mortem room the main objects to be kept in view are ample supply of ventilation and good floor drainage, combined with abundance of light.

The water supply of the hospital is provided for by supply cisterns in large towers at the angles of the ward blocks and other parts of the building. The capacity of these cisterns is calculated to allow for the storage of two days' supply at 35 gallons per head per diem for all occupants.
