Small Wards from 2800 to 3000 Cubic feet per bed.
To each main ward is attached
a nurse's room for the permanent nurse in charge,
which commands the whole length of the Ward and a ward scullery, from which she has similar means of supervision and which is furnished with a small range for preparing and keeping diets warm, warm drinks, etc., a hot closet for airing ward linen, a dresser for the ward crockery, press for ward linen.
A sink with hot and cold water is provided for washing up purposes. In one corner is fixed a filter for drinking water.
At the opposite end of the ward, two towers are arranged in connection with the Ward so as not to interfere with communication between all parts of the verandah while preserving freedom of access from the Wards and entire isolation.
