125. Water supply. The main pipe for the supply is to be of the strongest wrought hat-shaped tubing, with kerb roller joints. Elbows, Thrices and connections of wrought iron with full screws to pipe. Work less than 1 foot below ground line. All joints to be second quality and fixed together with red lead except those in connection with tanks which are to be flanged and painted in cement-composition.

All pipes within the building are to be laid with the crown of access: all outside pipes are to be carried up in chases left within the brickwork and cased. The whole of the water supply fittings are to be of metal and approved make, with full warranty and of the best quality, viz., haltons.

130. Laying on. Lay on fittings because tout? ... with all necessary beads, connections and T-pieces, with 1" patent tubing bath: 3/4" to feed cisterns of hot water cistern and Rothen range, water closets, sinks, lavatory and washing basins. Baths to have 1" bib cocks, other fittings 3/4" – Also lay on "bibcocks west: 1" pipes and 1" bib cocks to coppers in wash house and with 1" pipe and 1/2" bib cocks to washing troughs and sinker.
