128. Lead work generally. All lead work specified by weight to be weighed when delivered without interface. All lead work to be secured to woodwork with lead headed nails and to brickwork with holdfasts, all joints of lead to be really caulked off and tightened when necessary.

124. Paints colours. Follows materials specified colours.

125. Lavatory benches. Fix 3" x 3" teak bearers to the benches with & countersunk steel screws. Fix white glazed earthenware basins, secured to walls with harchroms, with movable brass rose over and fitted.

126. Waterclosets. All the waterclosets to be fitted with Tomming's white glazed earthenware pan and trap, same finish. Each closet to be double trapped and to have a "lead coil" pipe out of its head, well secured with copper lead tacks.

126. Slop and Bath sinks. Same to be fitted with lead lining, top and sides, and bottom and sides of slop sinks and the bath sinks with cotton tape, nailed with copper nails, properly centered, bedded perfectly flat and with edges turned over and really caulked off with thick fittings of Ferming's manufacture. Provide for each slop sink a hemispherical grating of stout galvanised wire, 8" deep in centre, meshes like Aquascut.

127. Wastes. Typhoo head wastes 2 1/2" diameter to baths and basins, with brass screw caps and collars.

» Note - Each down pipe leading from cisterns is to be continued up through roof and to terminate just below coping of parapet wall to ensure the thorough ventilation of the cisterns and obviate the risk of taps being frozen.
