To-day the aim is to maintain the physical fitness of the workers by giving them ideal conditions of well-lighted, afry rooms and reasonable hours.
Besides this form of anaemia which may be described as due to poor blood, there is the annemia after a sharp haemorrhage such as occurs at an operation or after an accident. This condition soon rights itself as the health returns to normal.

Iron and arsenic are indicated; but the first thing is to get a patient's digestion fit for the rich food. Meat, fresh vegetables and fruit with plenty of milk and eggs is the best diet. This supplles minerals such as iron and other valuable salt. Meat should be taken twice a day if pos-1 sible and a glass of milk with each meal, rather than between meals.
-For severe cases with heart-weakness, prov longed rest in bed. is necessary: If it can be arranged, a cruise in sunny waters is often an excellent cure as the food or board is good-and the sunlight at its best, whilst the sea air supplies the appetite.
