Singapore, Dec. 4. The Municipal Government has addressed an ultimatum to the 8,000

Warning has been given that they will be summarily dismissed if they do not return to work within 24 hours.

The refuse problem is acute in the chy, and convicts are, being utilised to best in scavenging and street cleaning.
