I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 13th inst relative to the loss of two prize lottery tickets posted on the 18th of April 1874, and to report on the course adopted by me for the recovery of these documents.

On the 24th of September 1874, I addressed the Captain General on this subject in a letter, a copy of which is herewith inclosed.

On the 5th of February 1875, finding no answer was given to my letter,
