ANNUAL DINNER OF R.A.M.C. ASSOCIATION
BRILLIANT FUNCTIÒN AT
HOTEL CECIL
The Hongkong Branch of the Royal Army Medical Corps Associa- tion held its annual dinner last night at the Hotel Ceell in the presence of over 150 members 'and · guests, who were all happily entertained up to mil-night with à musical con- cort after dinner. In a speech, Lleut. Col. S.D. Red, M., R.A.M.C. stressed that the object of the as- sociation is mainly to maintain and foster the friendship between the present and past members by or- ganising reunions und social functiot.
The decorations with coloured lights, treenery and bunting made the hotel entrance and the dining ball very attractive; while, tur- mounting the entrance, a huge red cross designed with luminations, was an object which tended to warmi the spirit of a united brotherhood and maize the members · proud of their profersion.
The party assembled in the lounge at 8 p.m. where first "feld dressings" were issued in the form of cocktails
and “hall chow."

In so doing we are developing and maintaining a friend. ship between present and past invinbers, which undoubtedly fostera that spirit of the Corps so essential to an organisation such as ours.
Friendship and Esprit de Corps mean a united brotherhood which is ever ready to assist one or more of their domirades through a difficult or troublous period. To this end We are endeavouring to rulse sumclent funas in reserve in order to render what financial assistance we can to those of our local members who may be in need of such help in the future. Ly your own personal efforts and untiring support of your Committee towards you can do a great deal maintaining the objects of the As- sociation, to which we are proud to belong.
