Chairman of the Provincial Government of Kwangtung, and Mr. Tseng Yang-tu, Mayor of Canton, were the guests last night of the Hongkong General Chamber of Commerce and the Hongkong Branch of the China Association, which entertained the visitors at a banquet In the Roof Garden of the Hongkong Hotel.
The hope that the new, Canton Government would stabilise Its currency, and thus create a "Merchants' Paradise," was voleed by the Chairman of the Committee of the Chamber and China Association (the Hon. Mr. Stanley H. Dodwell), who presided over a large gathering, thoroughly representative of the Hongkong Community, and who propoyed the toast to the distinguished visitors.

Our sages say "He who expects of others must himself be expected," This is true and if we desire mutual existence and mutual prosperity we must seek co-operation and work for mutual benefits. Let us then hope for the future prosperity of Hong- Rong and Canton.
